Everyone loves cats, but cat gifts for owners are not always! JR Dynamics has developed and successfully tested a smart cat door equipped with a 5MP IR camera, digital tag scanner and mobile app control. The door detects a cat with prey and does not let it into the house.

The door is installed in the front door, equipped with a 2.9″ electronic ink screen, which displays information about the movement of the pet. The gadget receives information by RFID tag 134.2 kHz, which is easy to place on the collar. Inside is a serious filling: a 64-bit quad-core processor, 8 GB eMMC memory, WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 modules. The power supply of the device is typical – 5 V DC.

OnlyCat allows you to remotely let pets in, create restrictions for different cats, keep statistics and share photos and videos with friends. As many as 1024 pets are supported per device.
The manufacturer achieved 99% recognition of feline prey (mice, birds, rats, rabbits, squirrels, snakes, frogs, etc.) during the year of trial operation of the smart door.

The cost of the OnlyCat door has not yet been announced, the project will soon be placed on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform.
The operation of the device can be seen on the video presentation:
