Today I will tell you about a tablet with a 12″ screen. It uses an IPS matrix with good viewing angles. You can attach a keyboard and use it for study or office work. Inside is a 256 GB M.2 SSD. There is enough space inside to install a larger capacity battery. The seller on this tablet has all 5 star reviews. At the end of the article there is a video review with gameplay, typing and watching youtube.

Specifications
Screen | 12″ 2160*1440, IPS 60Hz, 450 nits |
CPU | Intel N3450 4 cores up to 2.2GHz |
RAM | 8 GB |
Built-in memory | M.2 SSD 256 GB |
Battery | 5000 mAh |
Comes with a 25W charger. Unfortunately, a plug is used and it is impossible to charge via type-c. Definitely an unsuccessful solution in our time, but you can buy a cheap adapter. The 5000 mAh battery charges in 2 hours.

The body of the Kuu Lepad tablet is made of metal. The screen diagonal is 12″ with a resolution of 2160*1440. It uses an IPS matrix with a frequency of 60 Hz and a maximum brightness of 450 nits. This is quite enough for comfortable work in the office in bright light. At angles, the colors become a little dimmer, but the picture is visible perfectly. Auto-brightness was not delivered, but there is a Hall sensor: the screen goes out when the keyboard is closed. When changing the grip from horizontal to vertical, auto-orientation comes into play. Works with a delay.

The tablet can be purchased separately or as a bundle with a keyboard. The keyboard does not have its own battery and is powered by the tablet. For myself, I found the only drawback — these are weak magnets. When carrying, you must hold the keyboard so that it does not fall off. When disassembled, the magnets can be easily replaced. For quick navigation, a touchpad with familiar control gestures is used. The keyboard is engraved, but the keys are not backlit.

For comfortable typing, you can set a small angle of inclination. You can also adjust the angle of the screen itself. The rear metal frame allows you to make an angle of up to 150 degrees and the design on a hard surface is stable. Another thing is that you need to adapt to work on your knees.

On the left side of the windows of the Kuu Lepad tablet, the manufacturer has placed a headphone jack. I confused it with the charging connector several times. On the right side are the charging connector, USB 3.0, type-c only for file transfer and micro-hdmi for outputting images up to 4K. I can’t understand what genius thought to place the charging connector at the very top of the case: after all, the wire will hang on the weight. At the top is the on/off button and the volume rocker.

To output sound, 2 speakers are used, which are spaced on both sides from below. The power of each is 1 watt. Objectively, I note that they are very quiet. Therefore, I advise you to listen either through headphones or through speakers. The speakers are hidden under the metal frame at the bottom.

The back surface of the tablet is made of metal and painted in matte gray. A 1MP camera is placed on top, and the main one is 5MP. The weight of the tablet with a keyboard is 1038 g, and without it, 746 g. To disassemble the windows of the tablet from Aliexpress, you need to unscrew the screws around the perimeter of the back cover and pry off the screen with a plastic card. Next, slowly walk along the contour to open all the latches.

To cool the processor, a copper plate is used, from which heat is removed by a thermal pad and dissipated on a metal case. The M.2 SSD is 2242 and can be upgraded to a larger drive. Hynix memory and SM2258XT controller. Responsible for autonomy is a battery consisting of two cans marked JJY 2816818 / 7.6V / 24. The total size of the battery is 130*93 mm and 6mm thickness, but in general the platform allows you to install a battery with dimensions of 150*120 mm. The dual-band wi-fi module is soldered on the board. Model 3165D2W.

The maximum temperature that we managed to fix on the case after several hours of heated battles in World of Tanks Blitz was 43 degrees. That is, during use, the tablet does not burn your hands and keep it comfortable.

The Kuu Lepad tablet is running Windows 10 Pro. When you turn it on for the first time, the installation process starts immediately. As a result, we get the activated version. When trying to install Windows 11, we get a notification that the Intel N3450 processor is not supported. Let me remind you that this is a quad-core processor with a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz. The RAM is 8 GB, and the video memory is represented by Intel HD Graphics 500 with a capacity of 1 GB.
When buying such a tablet, you must clearly understand what goals you are pursuing. If you want to read pdf magazines on a large diagonal, then everything is fine. The big juicy screen will allow to spend time with comfort. It is also suitable for communication in telegram. It shows Youtube in 4K, but the video memory is loaded almost under 85-90%. Even when playing video in full HD, there are problems when expanding the picture to full screen. This moment can be seen in the video review at the end of the article. I didn’t download anything on purpose and opened only one tab with youtube. Moves back and forth just fine. How many tabs can it keep in memory? Well, I used it for 2 weeks to fill the telegram channel with discounts. 10 tabs in one session is not a problem for a tablet.

Wi-fi in this tablet uses dual-band. With my tariff plan up to 100 Mbps, it gives out 75-79 Mbps from a distance of 4 meters from the router. M.2 SSD allows the tablet to load the OS quickly. Gives standard speeds for SATA SSD. CrystalDiskMark benchmark shows 486 MB/s read and 463 MB/s write.

I don’t see any reason to drive especially in tests, in view of a processor that is weak by modern standards, and the graphics all the more make no sense. But still I decided to do a Cinebench R23 test. In single-core it showed 258, and in multi-core 620 points.

What about games? It’s better to forget about tanks for a computer right away if you don’t want to suffer. There, even at the lowest settings and with low resolution, it gives out under 18fps. I’m already silent that squares are running around the screen. In WOT blitz, the situation is slightly better for smartphones. On the lowest graphics settings with disabled shadows and HD textures, it gives out under 30 frames with drawdowns up to 23-26 frames. I dare to assume that it will be possible to play comfortably only in some simple card games, but I’m not fond of that.

For 1 hour at maximum brightness in the tanks gobbled up 33% of the battery charge. Youtube at maximum brightness and maximum performance completely discharges the tablet in 4 hours and 15 minutes. If you reduce the brightness to 50% and set the battery saving mode, then it will last for 4 hours 25 minutes, that is, not such a big difference is obtained. The maximum temperature on the processor was 65 degrees.

At the last moment, I decided to run Pcmark and the Modern office autonomy test. Selected the maximum brightness. As a result, I got 4 hours 28 minutes. That is, he does not pull out a full-fledged working 8-hour day if used for the office. You can try to put the brightness below 50% and on the economy mode, but it seems to me that a strong increase will not work.

findings
You can buy windows-tablet Kuu Lepad here. For games, I advise you to look for a model with more frisky hardware on Android. It is convenient to watch movies on a large diagonal. Screen with excellent viewing angles. Suitable for surfing the Internet or reading pdf magazines. Can be used as an external screen. The metal frame on the back allows you to install at the required angle. Speakers are quiet, so headphones or speakers. In terms of autonomy, an 8-hour working day, judging by the tests, will not last, so enthusiasts can try replacing the regular battery with a larger battery. Another disadvantage is the weak magnets that hold the keyboard, and the lack of charging the tablet itself via type-c. Photoshop loads, but I wouldn’t do anything serious in it. Make a maximum of color correction, apply a vignette, etc. Windu 11 most likely can be installed some kind of custom or from the microsoft website, but with the replacement of the registry file (this is another story).
come into my telegram channel s3mki, the link to which is in my profile. I place working Aliexpress promotional codes there, cool products and share my impressions of buying new products before writing articles. The video review below shows the gameplay, printing text and watching youtube. Questions can be left in the comment: the tablet is in my hands.
