The AMAZFIT Falcon hits the mark, the most affordable rugged watch for tough use, with a titanium alloy case and sapphire crystal. Until 2022, the most popular active sports watch in the AMAZFIT line was the AMAZFIT T-Rex series (T-Rex Pro, T-Rex 2). The new Falcon has the same 4 physical buttons as the T-Rex 2, as well as a barometric sensor located under the ledge on the side between the buttons. And most importantly, the AMAZFIT Falcon watch is about twice as affordable as the 7th generation Garmin Fenix (at the time of publication, about $ 300 versus ~ 70 thousand for Fenix 7).
The case is made of titanium alloy type TC4, respectively, the manufacturer has moved away from the proven magnetic mount for the charging cable. Now — a special charger with a USB interface, reminiscent of a connector from a Garmin watch. The Falcon watch comes with an original silicone strap 22 mm wide. Unlike the T-Rex line, the strap is equipped with a quick-release connector that allows you to change or remove it without using a special tool.
The appearance of the AMAZFIT Falcon watch is brutal — it is a massive bezel of complex shape, eye-catching metal fasteners, and hardware buttons. On the right are the main button and the functional one (the action can be configured in the application). On the right are two buttons that provide navigation through context menus and lists. You can control both with buttons and using the touch screen.
In terms of button design, bezel and sports functions, the new AMAZFIT Falcon strongly resembles the protected Amazfit T-Rex 2 watch. In terms of “stuffing”, it can also be compared with the flagship Amazfit GTR4 smart watch — the same operating system, WiFi, voice calls, etc. .d.
The watch app is Zepp by AMAZFIT. Watches are added by QR code, in-depth statistics and analysis of results are available, training tracks and routes, preparation of individual lessons according to a template, etc.
Now fly in the ointment — the Amazfit Falcon watch is intended for the Chinese domestic market and is not a global version. Currently available in English/Chinese only. Support for notifications in Russian / Cyrillic may be present, but the system menu cannot be translated. On the other hand, this is a trifle compared to the functionality of Amazfit Falcon and their cost. The watch is almost twice as affordable as the similar Garmin 7.
