A good compact inexpensive tablet? I sincerely believe that Lenovo tab M8 HD is the best choice. If I had known about it a year ago, I would have bought it for my daughter, and not Teclast. This Lenovo M8 has been in use for a month and a half and the impressions about it are only the best.

Packaging and appearance

The kit includes not only the tablet itself with a Micro-USB charging cable and a block to it, but also a protective film.
However, the most important thing is that also comes with a protective casewhich separately will cost a lot!
Think it doesn’t matter? I also thought so until I changed the screen on my daughter’s tablet twice. In the end, I bought the same cover.
And here is the tablet itself. This is a neat, nice-looking device in a metal case. The body is externally flawless. There are no gaps, backlashes and the general feeling that you are holding some kind of basement craft. Budget here is manifested only in the price tag, but not in appearance.
Connectors
At the bottom there is a Micro USB charging port and a microphone hole.
As far as I understand, there are versions without mobile internet support. She is in this one.
We stick a paper clip, and voila — the combined tray under the SIM card leaves (by the way, here why it must be password protected) and MicroSD.
On the opposite side is a standard set of volume rocker and power button.
On top of the speaker holes (they promise Dolby Audio) and an input for a 3.5mm jack.
8 inches is exactly what you need for a children’s tablet. 7 inches is already not enough, close to a conventional shovel phone. And a 10 inch child will not be able to play. And for an adult, not for any purpose, 10 inches will be convenient. The opposite is also true, many will not have enough diagonal less than 10, look at the same pdfs.
Screen
The screen is good, but nothing more. However, the colors are juicy, the pixels are not visible. When tilted, there is no inversion of colors, they are not distorted. Let me remind you, there is a multi-touch in 10 touches.
The camera sensor perceives the tilt of the screen in a completely different way than the human eye. What seems to me only a little less bright, you will see in the photo below as a very, very dull picture. In reality, everything is better.
Camera
By the way, as for the camera, it is here, as expected, not a fountain at all. Extremely mediocre camera, which is only enough for video calls. However, this is a tablet for a child, so I don’t see this as a problem.

GPS, WIFI
GPS picks up quickly. On a 100 megabit channel, it catches less than the maximum possible. But through 2 walls, about 8 meters from the router, the speed drops surprisingly slightly.
Real performance
A friend asked me to choose a tablet for her daughter, purely for games. Accordingly, I tested them.
And here everything is normal. Here is the most common example — Roblox. My daughter’s 2 gigabytes of Teclast was not enough for some games in Roblox, the game crashes. But Lenovo tab M8 HD at the same levels works perfectly cheerfully and smoothly.
For a more system-loading test, I used Call of Duty mobile. On medium settings, the game ran smoothly, without twitching. Unfortunately, I lost the video. And since now the tablet is in someone else’s use, I can only get to it in a week or two. A friend of the wife will come with her daughter — I will add, it’s not a big deal.

General impressions
The Lenovo tab M8 HD is a great value for money offering. It has a strong metal case, a good screen and performance that does 100% the purposes for which the tablet was bought. So much for synthetics, which in the ranking shows a very modest position, but in reality there are no complaints. Zero. Nihil. Nix. And there is a satisfied child and his satisfied parents, for whom a gift for DR cost significantly less than the budget originally planned.
To my surprise, now it costs the same on aliexpress as it cost at the time of purchase. And you will also get a makeshift cover, which alone will come out at 15% of the price. As a person who bought and changed the screen on my daughter’s tablet 2 times, I can assure you that a cover for a children’s tablet is needed necessarily.
3 gigabytes of RAM may not be particularly impressive, but … they are definitely enough for all the usual games that children also play. I repeat, call of duty is an excellent indicator here.
And if you want to choose a compact tablet with 4 or more gigabytes of RAM, then it will cost you a completely different price.
The camera here is very mediocre. But I asked my daughter, as well as the owners of this Teclast — none of them almost use the camera.
For an adult, Lenovo tab M8 HD can be interesting as a navigator. Performance and memory allow you to expect that the navigator application will not crash, there is mobile Internet. Sizes, again, are optimal.
In short, I sincerely recommend it. This tablet is definitely worth its price.
Yes, parents, a tablet and a smartphone are a great temptation. The temptation to create free time for yourself, to save yourself from games and communication with the child. Let the child sit and stick in YouTube Tik Tok Roblox. This is a flawed and vicious practice that will backfire on you later. Find the strength in yourself to set a limit for your child. A child should have a life with games per outside of the screen. But a tablet and a smartphone can not only hit children’s brains by developing clip thinking, but also help with education.
