A laser level is a device for building a flat horizontal and / or vertical plane using LEDs that are reflected on the surface in the form of a bright green or red line. Levels are used not only at the stages of construction, they can be useful in everyday life. For example, to hang several paintings or shelves on different walls at the same level. Or in a summer cottage where something is constantly being built.
Laser levels (levels) are divided into four types: point, linear, rotary and combined.
- Point are designed for marking and project individual points onto the surface, which must be marked and then independently connected by a line. These levels are the simplest and cheapest.
- Rotary laser levels project a 360-degree laser line, and the projection distance can reach up to 500 meters. These devices are professional and the most expensive.
- Combined levels allow you to build additional points and lines, and often have functions such as a laser plummet, line cutoff and others.
- Linear levels, on the other hand, project horizontal, vertical, or both lines at once onto the surface. Their projection range is up to 50 meters, and the price is relatively low, which makes them suitable for home use. About them and will be discussed below.
Why not use a regular bubble level? Naturally, it is possible, but it is not so comfortable. At a minimum, the laser level allows you to free your hands. Yes, and the prices for laser levels are not very huge, you can pick up your pocket.
1. Nauwkeuriger
Opens our selection of a miracle of technology under the brand name Nauwkeuriger. The cheapest and most unreliable level I’ve come across.
It has a bubble level, tape measure, laser level. It is possible to switch to a horizontal beam, vertical and cross. Powered by three AG13 batteries. Only with a red beam.
Suitable exclusively for home use, hang a picture or a shelf. Perhaps as a universal toy for ridiculous money.
The most reliable thing in it is the ruler. I included it in the selection as the cheapest version of the linear type laser level. Surprisingly, it has quite a few positive reviews. I wouldn’t take one for myself.
2. TONGFENGLH
Next comes the laser level a little more expensive and slightly better quality.
This unit is equipped with two beams that create an angle of 90 degrees. Beam thickness 4 mm. There is also a bubble level for customization. It is powered by three finger-type batteries. Only with a red beam.
There are two suction cups on the back side (not very durable). Suitable for home use for various purposes. As a construction tool, it should not be considered; with frequent use, the service life is rather short.
3. HANMATEK
In third place is the laser level from the HANMATEK brand.
It is powered by two finger batteries. Working area: horizontal beam — 10 m, vertical — 5 m. Leveling accuracy ± 3 mm. Number of lines — 2. Self-leveling range 4° ± 1° (rather minus). There is a pendulum lock button.
Already a good laser level for the home, compact, lightweight. Supplied with a rag cover. There are options with red and green beam.
4 Huepar
Another small laser level from Huepar.
This level is also equipped with a magnetic stand (but I do not recommend using it without insurance). Self-leveling range ± 4°. There is a pendulum lock button. Leveling accuracy ± 3 mm. Number of lines — 2 (beam deployment range 110°). Working area: 10 m.
Also a good level for the house.
5.DEKO
Next is a more serious laser level from DEKO
This level can be equipped with various tripods and fasteners, as well as additional cords for charging. The price depends on the configuration.
Self-leveling range ± 4°. There is a pendulum lock button. Leveling accuracy ± 1 mm for every 7 meters. The number of lines is 12 (beam deployment range is 360°). Working area: 20 m. The minimum distance to the surface for displaying the entire beam is 8 mm. 3000 mAh battery.
For outdoor and indoor use.
6. GROSAM
Next is the GROSAM laser level.
This level differs from the previous one by the presence of a remote control, you can control the lines without touching the level once again. It also added a second horizontal plane.
Self-levelling range ± 3°. There is a pendulum lock button. Leveling accuracy ± 1 mm for every 7 meters. The number of lines is 16 (beam deployment range is 360°). Working area: 20 m. Line width 2 mm. 2400 mAh battery

7. HILDA
In seventh place in the selection is a laser from HILDA
Also a good laser for both home and professional use. The price depends on the configuration.
Self-levelling range ± 3°. There is a pendulum lock button. Leveling accuracy ± 2.5 mm for every 5 meters. The number of lines is 12/16 (beam deployment range is 360°). Working area: 10 m (30 m with receiver). Line width 2 mm. Built-in rechargeable battery.
8.CLUBIONA
Below is a laser level from CLUBIONA
Good quality level with a large 5000 mAh battery. Up to six hours of continuous operation with four beams. Great for frequent outdoor and indoor use. The level uses German Osram diodes.
Self-leveling range ± 4°. There is a pendulum lock button. Leveling accuracy ± 1.5 mm for every 5 meters. The number of lines is 16 (beam deployment range is 360°). Working area: 30 m (60 m with receiver). The minimum distance to the ground is 17 mm, to the wall 9 mm.
For an apartment renovation of this level, it may be a bit much, but for those who do this on an ongoing basis, it is a very good option.
9. Fukuda
Another chic laser level, but from Fukuda.
Self-levelling range ± 3°. There is a pendulum lock button. Leveling accuracy ± 3 mm for every 10 meters. The number of lines is 16 (beam deployment range is 360°). Working area: 15-20 m (40-50 m with receiver). The minimum distance to the ground is 10 mm, to the wall 7 mm. 4000 mAh battery, operating time up to 6 hours at maximum load. Full battery charge time 5 hours.
It is intended for internal and external works.
Supplied in a plastic case. Can be completed with receiver and tripods.
10. DEWALT
And finally, a laser level from my favorite manufacturer DEWALT
This level is sold either separately or complete with battery, charger and bracket. The case is shockproof and water resistant (within reasonable limits).

It is recommended only for purchase by those who earn their living with a tool, since the price, to put it mildly, is not small.
